The concert will feature three artists whose lives and careers are deeply connected with Japanese music and culture.
Katarzyna Karpowicz is a Japanologist, Japanese language teacher, and koto performer. She developed her skills through numerous stays in Japan, including as a recipient of the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship. Her repertoire spans traditional and contemporary compositions, as well as original improvisations that explore new possibilities of the instrument.
Pedro Pedrito is a pianist and music educator who has collaborated with the ROMA Musical Theatre, the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, and numerous stage and television productions. A frequent visitor to Japan, he continues to work with artists from Tokyo while documenting his passion for Japanese culture through his travel vlog.
Masato Yokoe is a master of the shamisen, a certified instructor, and an experienced educator dedicated to promoting traditional Japanese music. In addition to his musical career, he has served as the World Japanese Green Tea Ambassador since 2019, sharing another important aspect of Japanese culture with audiences around the globe.
